This bowl truly is a masterpiece of skilful turning, with an accented rim to the bowl centre, the rim has a uniquely textured and decorative band.
The face of the bowl has been textured by hand, coloured and sealed, before the bowl face either side was turned away to reveal the decorative band in profile and dramatically frame it
Coloured with black and bronze to contrast against the pale tone of the sycamore, the colours have also been carefully selected to highlight the spalting present in the natural wood.
