Oak Plate with Embellishing Wax

Description

A decorative plate made from Oak that has been mounted on the lathe and turned to a pleasing shape.

After turning the plate was sanded to give a smooth tactile finish then sealed.

A layer of blue coloured embellishing wax was then applied to the rim of the plate to enhance the grain features, then buffed to give the desired effect and then lacquered to protect.
