Hand turned from a specially selected piece of Elm Burr, this box has been lovingly crafted in to a unique statement piece that is fit to grace even the most exclusive of dressing tables.
The winged design houses a central box, skilfully turned from one piece of wood, with the internal recess perfectly carved out to an irresistibly smooth finish. The shallow rebate is designed deliberately yet surreptitiously so as to be unobtrusive to the fit and design of the lid it marries.
The lid, turned from a contrasting yet complimenting piece of Sapele, has been shaped delicately and precisely for the perfect fit on the body. Its finial, spindle turned from a highly sought after piece of Crab-Apple, extends the lid with it’s simple yet elegant design while its natural features compliment the exquisite burr elements in the shoulder of the box.
The whole piece has been sanded and polished to a high gloss finish, mirroring the elegance of its design.
