Description
Thuya (or Thuja as it’s sometimes spelled) is a valuable wood sourced from trees that grow almost exclusively in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. In 2013, the Moroccan Government placed an embargo on the export of Thuya burr, making the stocks already outside of Morocco extremely rare.
To find a burr sizable enough to make a bowl of depth is quite remarkable, and especially since its availabilty is now scarce, to own a piece of Thuya is truly exceptional.
Measuring 16 cm in diameter and 6cm deep, this extraordinary bowl displays the full palette of deep chocolate browns and irresistible caramel tones that are unique to the Thuya
Turned and sanded to perfection, the bowl has been sealed and finished with a hard-wearing lacquer to protect the wood and promote longevity in its finish
Measurements: 16cm dia x 6cm deep
