‘Angel’s Trumpet’ Jewellery Box

Deliberately styled to mirror the magical whimsy of the delicate Angel’s Trumpet bloom, this stunning jewellery box is truly a work of beauty.

Using a specially selected piece of Ash wood, the flute of the body has been turned to emulate the elongated trumpet of the flower, hollowing a concealed jewellery compartment in the top for the safe keeping of your precious jewellery. The rim of the bell has lovingly held its natural bark, whilst hand painting the body with Hampshire Sheen Intrinsic Colours (Ruby & Flame) to represent the birth of a bloom with the morning sunrise, keeping the connotation of the flower’s beauty growing from the Earth. The bloom is capped with a perfect-fit lid, turned from a piece of Sapele wood, complete with integrated finial and enhanced with decorative golden ‘stamen’ to complete the effect desired.

The head of the flower, or jewellery box, is proudly and elegantly elevated by the leafy pedestal below. Hand turned to mirror the shape of the floral bell above, the base has then been hand carved to reveal majestically unfurling leaves. The base has been artistically brought to life with Hampshire Sheen Intrinsic Colours in two different tones of green for depth, before enhancing with gold embellishing wax to highlight the grain the wood.
